Sarbir Plant Hire has been hiring out plant to the construction industry for the last 30 years. Founded by the Sargeant family in 1972 the business was purchased by Newmarket Plant Hire Ltd in 2000 when Carl Jarvis put his experience to good use and took over the business.

Since the business has come under new ownership substantial investment has taken place in order to bring Sarbir in line with Newmarket Plant Hire in terms of quality of equipment supplied.

This has ensured that existing Sarbir customers have continued to use them along with new customers who have been greatly attracted to their extensive range of services.

In 2006 it was decided to drop the Sarbir name and change the trading name at Cambridge to Newmarket Plant Hire.
